NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN

The OAO Nomination Committee solicits nominations for positions on the OAO Board of Trustees.

If you are committed to advancing your profession and ready to take an active leadership role at the state level, now is the time to consider getting involved. OR,  you may know a colleague passionate about inspiring others with a desired voice to advocate for opticianry.

NOW  is the time to take a step forward to have a voice in the future of opticians in Ohio.

The strength of OAO is an active membership with a solid voice for advocating Opticianry. If you are committed and ready to roll up your sleeves and be an advocate for Opticianry, it's your time to move OAO forward. 

The time involved for consideration:

• Attend Zoom meetings or face-to-face meetings (OAO currently holds 4-6 Board meetings a year)
• Attend Professional Education Development Events (At least two per year))
• Willing to be involved on a committee

If you want to volunteer to share your time, wisdom, and expertise, or if you know that colleague, please download the application TODAY. All nominations must be received by August 15th, 2026.

Voting will occur at the Annual Business Meeting on October 4, 2026.
