Carrie Wilson

Carrie Wilson has been in the optical industry for over 25 years. She is a Master optician with the American Board of Opticianry and National Contact Lens Examiner. She is a trainer, international speaker, author, consultant, and professor at the College of Southern Nevada in Anatomy and Physiology and Contact Lenses.

Carrie created Optigal Consulting, providing optical education and business consulting. Carrie is the US representative for the International Standards Organization for Ophthalmic Lenses and Manufacturing. She is a representative of Bad Ass Optical Lab; She also loves optical history and is on the Board of Directors of the Optical History Museum. Recently, Carrie was nominated for the 2023 Silmo International Optician of the Year Award. At the OAA State Leadership Conference, Carrie was voted in as State  Representative. Anyone on social media has witnessed Carrie’s wisdom and expertise.

Kevin Walker

Kevin Walker - Mr. Walker is a Dual Licensed Optician (NY & OH) who received his degree in Ophthalmic Dispensing from SUNY New York. Kevin has dual ABOC and NCLEC Certifications and is an approved ABO Certified Technical Trainer. In addition to offering courses, training, and seminars, Kevin is a Certified “Office Ergonomic Evaluator” and formed “WorkSight ERGO”, specializing in Vision Ergonomics. He lives in Ohio with his wife and daughter and loves to travel, finding new eateries and playing hockey.

Michael Gzik

Michael Gzik is a New York State licensed optician/contact lens practitioner. He is a Fellow of the Contact Lens Society of America, ABO/NCLE certified, and a Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT). Mr. Gzik works in a private optometrist's office in Syracuse, NY, “New York Optometric,” and at the Syracuse VA Hospital as an optician and contact lens practitioner. He is an adjunct and Clinical instructor for contact lens technology at SUNY Health Science Center Syracuse, NY, Department of Ophthalmology resident program (35+ years). He is currently on the SUNY Department of Ophthalmology staff as a contact lens fitter and optician at the pediatric clinic.

He was presented with the NYSSO Best of Professions Award Contact Lens Technology 2020. He received the president’s award from the Opticians Association of Ohio in 2021.
