Practice Overview
We are a private eye care practice committed to providing comprehensive vision care and eye health evaluations. We are looking to grow our team with people who believe in small-town care within an urban setting and providing custom, specialized care beyond just a pair of glasses. In addition to primary eye care, we emphasize our eye care specialty services in binocular vision dysfunction, pediatrics, special needs patients, and eye wellness. We offer non-invasive therapies including myopia management, Neurolens, vitamins, dry eye therapy, etc. We are dedicated to providing ongoing education, training, and resources to develop a career in the optometry field.
What You’ll Be Working On
* Ensure the highest standards of customer service are delivered to our clients
* Advise patients with selecting frames and lenses based on their visual needs and preferences
* Operate and maintain optical instruments to measure pupil distance and frame size
* Partner with the owner to establish priorities, strategies, and policies to drive success in the optical
* Identify, document, share, and promote best optical practices
* Develop, maintain, and analyze reports on optical growth, finances, and performance
* Drive a culture of positivity, collaboration, and compassion
Qualifications
*High School Diploma or equivalent required
* Strong knowledge of and desire to continuously learn optics and new optical technology
* Minimum of two years experience working directly in optical retail; currently be licensed in Ohio (preferred) or be close to becoming licensed
* Experience in using social media for business is a plus
* Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and software applications
* High competency in word processing and spreadsheets and ability to quickly learn computer software programs
* Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking the initiative
* Strong work ethic, willingness to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time, and make themselves accountable when the job does not go right
* Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
* Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
* Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives
* Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
